Year of the Snake…

Happy New Year! I don’t think it’s too late to say that!? Anyway the Chinese have only just celebrated their New Year!

2013…Despite doomsday being predicted for 21st December we are all still alive and kicking, So far so good!  

I went to Paris a couple of weeks ago, such a beautiful city and defiantly in my top 10! And to make it even better I was shown around by my French boyfriend! Apart from obviously drinking far too much amazing French wine and eating copious amount of Camembert, I went to Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen. The French have cottoned onto our love of their furniture design though and unfortunately there weren’t any bargains to be had…

Rose, Edith and Darcy have found a new home in a little boutique in Dorking called No5 Interiors, a lovely little shop that specialises in upcycled, old and antique furniture, sourced directly from suppliers in France, Holland and Eastern Europe. They also hand make bespoke furniture from reclaimed timber so antique in its own right! So pop in and meet the lovely Monika if you are ever passing through Dorking.

I have finally put two of my suitcases up on the wall in my flat. It is great to see them working as a functional piece of Art in a proper lifestyle situation. They have finally come to life…
